IBWS provides consulting and design/build / monitor / maintain services to building owners and enterprise customers looking to implement a cellular enhancement or ERRCS. Our expertise is in determining the most suitable and affordable technology to address your need. Wireless networks are oftentimes designed and installed by companies that either have an expertise in one area or business arrangement with one OEM- so you get what’s appropriate from them but not what’s suitable for you.

IBWS determines what’s best for you and partners with companies that will deliver a customized solution to meet your needs.

Tom Doyle has been involved in Wireless Networks and Public Safety solutions for 25 years. At SCA, in the mid-1990s, he helped that company launch one of the first wireless software products to work over Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) networks. These networks were the first generation of packet data from the Cellular carriers – at 19.2 kbps, they were a long way from LTE. SCA’s product, Premier MDT, is still used by many law enforcement organizations today. Their products also worked over Ardis, RAM Mobile Data, and Motorola private radio networks. Tom was instrumental in facilitating Motorola’s acquisition of SCA in 1999.

At Motorola, Tom held various positions, including leading the NY Sales Team in providing advanced radio and software products to its customers, many in NYC like NYPD and FDNY. As the lead Sales Manager, he had dotted line reports from engineering and project management to ensure priorities were aligned to meet business goals. This was Tom’s education into the nuances of Trunked and Conventional Radio Systems, Tetra, APCO and Public Safety Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).

IN 2004 Tom was hired by Spot On Networks (SON), a company created to provide Wi-Fi solutions to building owners. This was the early days of Wi-Fi, as 802.11b devices were just hitting the market. As the SVP of Operations, Tom oversaw the development of backend systems to monitor and maintain SON’s growing user base of customers and buildings. SON is now one of the leading providers servicing many of the top real estate owners and developers in the country. Broadband Communities has consistently voted Spot On as one of the Top 100 Technology companies in the multi-family industry. At SON, Tom was also part of the management team that was granted a patent for a “System and Method for Network User Isolation”. patent-09544831_1

In 2015, Tom relocated from New Haven to San Francisco. While in San Francisco Tom has consulted for RSRF, one the country’s leading design organizations for Passive DAS systems. He also worked at Goodman Networks, helping to market Active DAS systems to their customer base.

IBWS believes in partnering with best-in-class companies who can provide cost effective, disruptive
solutions and technologies. Please reach out to us if you’d like additional information about any of our
